So obviously, I'm totally behind on this, but I figure I can still get in on the action, right? Maybe I can't link up, but I'm still going to tell you about myself. Why? Because I like talking about myself (truth). Okay, seriously not that conceited. But I've been doing a lot of getting to know you posts lately, so welcome to my life!
1) What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?
Good question. I fail at a lot of stuff (like bike riding), but if I could do ABSOLUTELY anything, I would expand my jewelry business. I would absolutely love to work from home and be my own boss, but I know that it's not in the cards right now, so my business will stay small and I'll keep TAing freshman chem students until the day comes when I can focus more on my business.
2) If you had only six months left to live, what would you do with the time?
Another good one, but totally dependent on how I was going to die. If I was immobile or very sick, then I'd likely just blog like crazy and make some jewelry and work from home. If I still had all my health, I'd be learning to do everything active that I never bothered to (paddle boarding anyone?) or to get better at the physical things that I love but am not so wonderfully good at (snowboarding, wakeboarding and ballroom dance)
3) If a front page news article was written on you, what would the headline be?
So this is kinda lame, but I did have an article written about me. It was about my research and it was all about Rhodnius prolixus a bug that passes T. Cruzi which causes Chagas' Disease. If that sounds horribly nerdy, it's because it is. This was what I worked on in my research lab for four years!
4) What is your biggest pet peeve?
Oh lord, there's so many! It's hard to choose just one. (I'm a horrible person) The biggest? It's probably people who endlessly complain about things that they can change looking for pity from me. If you want to change something, that's great. Complain to me once, but really, if you have to power to change it and you don't like it, change it!
5) What is your favorite chick flick movie?
I absolutely love Legally Blonde! As a natural platinum blonde (yup, that hair color you see is natural!), I'm always told that I'm dumb or whatever. I have a B.S. in Chemistry. I'm not dumb and I love how Elle Woods just completely blows all of those crazy stereotypes out of the water (sorta)

Oh, this was so fun...and I secretly love Legally Blonde. I even saw the musical. Alright, more about you, I hope you make it a point to try doing all the things you'd want to do before you die. All the best.
ReplyDeleteI loved Legally Blonde... I am natural red head but I don't think we should stereotype people for any reason, especially for the color of your hair. Cute post:)
ReplyDeleteI totally love Legally Blonde too.
ReplyDeleteMy possible father in law wants to fund a business for me and while I would LOVE to own a coffee shop I know right now is not the time. Sometimes we have to set aside our dreams for a little bit. Just not forever!
