I'm HERE!!!

Before flight....

And after... Seriously about to hurt someone. 24 hours later and I'm FINALLY in our back condo.

I had all these fabulous ideas for this post running through my head on the airplane here, but being in transit for about 24 hours has a funny way of making your memory fade... Yea, it took me over 24 hours to get from Tucson, AZ to St. Augustine, FL. Why the airline routed me to New Jersey is anyone's guess (I know why they did it, I'm just not happy about it, so I'm going to complain).

But I'm finally here! This is the view from where I'll be staying til Sunday:

Go ahead, be jealous! It's so worth the fact that I have to work at 7:30 on Monday now... But I'm only happy now that I'm here. The trip here was filled with layovers, Ben Stein sightings and coffee... lots and lots of coffee.

I slept about 3 hours last night, so you know, I don't really need to coffee or anything. I just like throwing mounds of money at a coffee house that seems to be omnipresent. But really, I have an obsession.

PS, being a 24 year old getting a rental car SUCKS!! As you all know, I drive some pretty awesome cars for a living (once a year). People trust me to drive pretty awesome cars.... like this one:

That car is worth $8 million... but I'm a liability in a Chevy Cruze... That makes perfect sense....

But with all the crappy travel stuff including the worst turbulence I have ever been through in my life (not even kidding I thought my computer was going flying for sure!) I've already found a light at the end of the tunnel (you know, besides seeing one of my amazing friends for her wedding!)

This little bistro is fabulous! If you're ever in the St. Augustine area, I highly recommend heading over to Ripe Bistro. They made some amazing gluten free crepes for me. They were the BEST crepes I've had since I've been back in the states, even without the gluten!!

What are you doing this weekend?

  1. Aw, I hope you're not jetlagged! :) I've never been a coffee person, but if I had a crazy trip like that I'd probably want milkshakes! Or frappes (with no coffee)! It's my version of a caffeine boost, I guess. :D

That view looks great, by the way! Hope you go swimming :P

  2. Travel can be such a bogey. And turbulence is the worst! Glad you made it to FL safely:) And double YAY to finding gluten free options while on the road!!!
